Before carrying or lifting make sure both handles are fastened with the handle strap. The cords must be tightened, to the maximum, to avoid any risk of the baby rolling out of the SleepCarrier.

A handle strap is always included when you buy the SleepCarrier but if you lose it you can buy a spare.

Please note, This product is suitable only for a child who cannot sit up unaided, roll over and cannot push itself up on its hands and knees. Maximum weight of the child: 9 kg. Never use this product on a stand.

What is the difference between the SleepCarrier vol. 5 & X?

SleepCarrier vol. 5 is the next generation of SleepCarrier X. Both models share the same foundation and construction, including stable sides, stabilising boards and breathable materials. SleepCarrier vol. 5 includes two updates: a newly developed locking system that ensures the straps are fully closed in carrying mode, and an updated interior airmesh design featuring Najell’s signature tulip pattern. It’s the same SleepCarrier foundation — refined in function and design.

Does SleepCarrier vol. 5 come with a harness?

No, the SleepCarrier vol. 5 does not come with an integrated harness.

What are the benefits to the firm sides?

The firm sides with stabilizing plates integrated into both sides (and one in the bottom as before) make the sides firm. They are mandatory for the product to be approved for unsupervised sleep, according to the European safety standard EN 1466:2023, taking effect in the summer of 2024.

From what age can I use the SleepCarrier?

The SleepCarrier can be used from day 1 (newborn) up to 9 kg. Buy the SleepCarrier before your baby is born and keep it in your bed for a week. This way, the SleepCarrier gets your scent and helps calm your baby from the very beginning.

For how long can I use the SleepCarrier?

You can use the SleepCarrier throughout the baby’s first year, starting from day 1(Newborn) up to 9kg. However, when the baby is able to roll or sit up on its own, you should not use the SleepCarrier to carry the baby.

Does the SleepCarrier vol. 5 come with a Najell handle strap holder?

Yes. All SleepCarrier vol. 5’s come with a Najell Handle Strap Holder making it even easier to carry with the handles.

Does the SleepCarrier fit in my pram?

Yes, the SleepCarrier fits in all prams.

Does the SleepCarrier have other functions than a babynest?

Yes. The SleepCarrier functions as a babynest, carrycot and playmat. The SleepCarrier is, first, a smart babynest. A familiar sleeping environment that you can carry with you. The safe handles on the sides make the SleepCarrier a carrycot. If you wish to use the SleepCarrier as a playmat you simply loosen the drawstrings and fold it out so it becomes flat. Perfect for practising tummy time.

Can I wash the SleepCarrier?

Yes. The SleepCarrier is machine washable at 40° C. Wash it separately and in a laundry bag or the Najell laundry bag. Remember to remove the stabilizing boards in the bottom and in both long sides, before washing. Use a mild detergent without bleach. Do not tumble dry.

What size is the SleepCarrier?

Depending on how tight you pull the drawstrings the SleepCarrier can have different measurements. The SleepCarrier has a stabilizing board that is 58 × 25 cm.
